Transformers was awesome!

Went to Tropicana City Mall for the first time yesterday with Eric and my sis (i'm forever the third wheel). lol. It's been open for so long and we finally went to check it out. Took forever to even approach it cause none of us knew the way, just vague directions from my brother. We ended up getting lost. Twice! One and a half hour wasted in the car. Wtf!

Anyway, we did the usual stuff la, walk around, see what stores they have....blah blah blah. And i bought 3 books from Borders. Actually, i didn't bring any cash along so my sis and Eric paid for them, as my birthday present la cause they didnt get me anything this year. lol. And they are:

The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga

Despite what is said on the cover, the book later on became 2008's winner of the prestigious Man Booker prize. Been wanting to read it since forever. Lakshwin has a copy, but it's with Sabrina. With Lax's permission, I told her to pass it to me when she was done. That was in the first week of our midterm exams. Still waiting here Sabrina. =.=''' I HATE being made to wait. It's even more annoying when people forget you're waiting for them and they're just taking their own sweet time. So i just bought it myself.

Dial M for Merde by Stephen Clarke

You're probably wonder what is ''merde''. Pronounced as merd, it's a French word to express disappointment. Equivalent to shit or crap. Anyway, this is the 4th book in the Merde series, but i only read the 3rd book before this one (Merde Happens). It's about the life of Paul West, a decent and apparently quite good-looking Briton living in France who shit keeps happening to. The rest of the book will be about how the shit builds up until he's had enough and exclaims ''MERDE!'' (though he says it often enough throughout the book) and shortly after that everything falls into place and all is fine.

Evening is the Whole Day by Preeta Samarasan

The title of the book doesn't really sound right, but whatever. Another Indian book lol. But this time, it's set in Malaysia not India. From the info on the back it sounds quite interesting, with lots of family fueds and internal family struggles and power conflicts so typical with books revolving around the whole Indian obssession with caste and shit like that.

Had Subway for dinner (Spicy Italian). Saw some dummies with pasar malam bought Transformer shirts. How do i know they're fake? Because they had autobot symbols on them but they were called deceptibots! Oi! Pirated t-shirt makers! if you wanna give them the wrong name at least have the brains to spell the wrong name correctly! And family of dumb fans, look closer before you buy laaaaaa! And went for a totally unplanned movie. Even though Eric and my sis had already watched it, they just went for it again to teman me. and it was.....

Tranformers Revenge of the Fallen of course!By now lots of peopel would've watched it already but for those who havent i wont spoil it for you, but seriously, watch it! It was what i expected it to be, visually stunning with lots of awesome robots and pyrotechnics galore! The jokes were just like the previous movie, enough to make me smile but not laugh. And in the process, the robots managed to destroy some important monuments too. But c'mon, you're fighting so openly you think nobody will notice in real life? You think Petra will be empty and you could just walk in and blow a hole in it! You think nobody would know if a piramid had a metal core? They would be all over CNN in 5 minutes laaaaaaa. Plus if autobots can't fly how did they fly to earth to begin with?
Why am i pointing out all these things when i know alien robots don't exist and therefore what i'm complaining about doesn't matter? Dunno. lol.

When we were almost home, about 100 meters from my house, Eric let me get behind the wheel of the car for an impromtu driving lesson. My first ever! i havent even taken my undang yet. It was exhilarating but took about 10 minutes because we were going at 1 km an hour hahahahahahha. Good thing no cars passed us by, except for the guards on motorcycles, or else they would think the car was broken or outta fuel! lol. Till next time, ciao!
