NS suckers!!!!

buahahahahahhaha im not going to NSSSSSSSS!!!!! Phew! Dodged a bullet there! I wont have to sleep in a room filled with like 50 other guys! No curfew! No waking up at 5 or 6 everyday! No uniforms! No MARCHING!!! And yes technology! And yes, im just saying all this to screw with all you ''unfortunate'' souls who, by the cruel hand dealt to you by fate, got chosen. Im totally relieved, and yet im not exactly prancing about in imaginary meadows either. I dont want to go, but i wouldn't really mind going either. Today, it was revealed to us the path we would take after SPM, on one path, it was to NS, on the other, whatever we want to make of it. Some of us will already be off to college in some faraway land by then, others maybe just beginning to figure out what they really wanna be. And some, perhaps still lazing at home or working in OU. Oh well, that it life.

I just heard this awesome song from dunno where. I forgot. But its by this indie rock band called Rilo Kiley. They're so unknown you can't even find the music video on youtube. Just their live concerts. I finally found it on some other website. enjoy.

Transformers was awesome!

Went to Tropicana City Mall for the first time yesterday with Eric and my sis (i'm forever the third wheel). lol. It's been open for so long and we finally went to check it out. Took forever to even approach it cause none of us knew the way, just vague directions from my brother. We ended up getting lost. Twice! One and a half hour wasted in the car. Wtf!

Anyway, we did the usual stuff la, walk around, see what stores they have....blah blah blah. And i bought 3 books from Borders. Actually, i didn't bring any cash along so my sis and Eric paid for them, as my birthday present la cause they didnt get me anything this year. lol. And they are:

The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga

Despite what is said on the cover, the book later on became 2008's winner of the prestigious Man Booker prize. Been wanting to read it since forever. Lakshwin has a copy, but it's with Sabrina. With Lax's permission, I told her to pass it to me when she was done. That was in the first week of our midterm exams. Still waiting here Sabrina. =.=''' I HATE being made to wait. It's even more annoying when people forget you're waiting for them and they're just taking their own sweet time. So i just bought it myself.

Dial M for Merde by Stephen Clarke

You're probably wonder what is ''merde''. Pronounced as merd, it's a French word to express disappointment. Equivalent to shit or crap. Anyway, this is the 4th book in the Merde series, but i only read the 3rd book before this one (Merde Happens). It's about the life of Paul West, a decent and apparently quite good-looking Briton living in France who shit keeps happening to. The rest of the book will be about how the shit builds up until he's had enough and exclaims ''MERDE!'' (though he says it often enough throughout the book) and shortly after that everything falls into place and all is fine.

Evening is the Whole Day by Preeta Samarasan

The title of the book doesn't really sound right, but whatever. Another Indian book lol. But this time, it's set in Malaysia not India. From the info on the back it sounds quite interesting, with lots of family fueds and internal family struggles and power conflicts so typical with books revolving around the whole Indian obssession with caste and shit like that.

Had Subway for dinner (Spicy Italian). Saw some dummies with pasar malam bought Transformer shirts. How do i know they're fake? Because they had autobot symbols on them but they were called deceptibots! Oi! Pirated t-shirt makers! if you wanna give them the wrong name at least have the brains to spell the wrong name correctly! And family of dumb fans, look closer before you buy laaaaaa! And went for a totally unplanned movie. Even though Eric and my sis had already watched it, they just went for it again to teman me. and it was.....

Tranformers Revenge of the Fallen of course!By now lots of peopel would've watched it already but for those who havent i wont spoil it for you, but seriously, watch it! It was what i expected it to be, visually stunning with lots of awesome robots and pyrotechnics galore! The jokes were just like the previous movie, enough to make me smile but not laugh. And in the process, the robots managed to destroy some important monuments too. But c'mon, you're fighting so openly you think nobody will notice in real life? You think Petra will be empty and you could just walk in and blow a hole in it! You think nobody would know if a piramid had a metal core? They would be all over CNN in 5 minutes laaaaaaa. Plus if autobots can't fly how did they fly to earth to begin with?
Why am i pointing out all these things when i know alien robots don't exist and therefore what i'm complaining about doesn't matter? Dunno. lol.

When we were almost home, about 100 meters from my house, Eric let me get behind the wheel of the car for an impromtu driving lesson. My first ever! i havent even taken my undang yet. It was exhilarating but took about 10 minutes because we were going at 1 km an hour hahahahahahha. Good thing no cars passed us by, except for the guards on motorcycles, or else they would think the car was broken or outta fuel! lol. Till next time, ciao!

I'm Back, Again!

After months of hiatus, i've decided to start blogging again! woohoo! Just don't expect me to blog as much as Sabrina @@. Anyway has anyone noticed the advertisement for this Indian movie called ""Jodhaa Akbar'' on dunno what channel thats been circulating on Astro recently? They used this really beautiful song that was composed by A.R.Rahman, and i just had to find it. So here it is.

I have no idea how to put a video directly into my blog, tried the directions but they dont work.....

Nice right?

anyways, today was Koperasi Day. Woke up completely thinking about skipping school. Glad i didn't, it was totally fun though exhausting. Spent the earlier periods before recess running back and forth from koperasi to the arena koko carrying heavy ass boxes of clothes and junk food for sale. By 9 i was already sweating like a dog and i got this really huge dust stain from one of the boxes that just wont come off.

I have to say, the whole event went more smoothly than i expected. Considering how all of us didn't know what was going on or what we had to do. It was actually planned for each class to come down one by one, but thats just weird....and what happens when the fried foods gets stale or when the ice melts? And since the canteen operators aren't working today, won't the later classes all get hungry while they wait? Stupid plan. So the school eventually came to its senses and decided to just let the students run amuck.

We were all originally assigned jobs to do, but last minute changes and cancellations right up to today messed that up. Dunno why koperasi so screwed up wan, maybe got power struggles happening behind my back hehehehe. I was actually set to be at the juice stall, but ended up manning the candy stall with Ming Yang and 2 other girls. I tell you ar, only one girl could count fast enough and give the proper change quickly, so i had to count how much the customers owe and the amount of change to give back for not only myself, but also MY and the other girl too! All this without using a calculator! Just fingers lol.

I was so damn busy i didn't even get to step foot into the canteen. All i ate for breakfast was a too-much-ice-but-too-little-milk-milkshake and a small ass piece of pizza after everyone else already took the larger pieces.....I didn't even get to set eyes on or get a whiff of the friend mushrooms or anything else in the canteen. By the time i was free everything was already being digested in everyone's stomach cept mine >: ( Didn't witness any of the basketball/futsal/frisbee games. All i know from the frisbee game was that the people from my class( Zack, Josh, Darryl, Jason, Victor) who played against the people from 5A(KenJing, Jianhao, Jenjuan, Qianheng! and forgot who) won only by 1 point only. Even though they apparently were soooo confident of thrashing them(Supposedly Zack was trash talking abt them being nerds and all).

All in all, it was a pretty awesome day, so much better than the loathsome classes we usually have to endure. We made a ton of money, both from our own stalls and games, and from the 20 or 30 or 40 percent commission we get from all the profits made by the other clubs + Timo. My candy stall alone made like RM750 or so. The popsicle and milkshake stall over RM 1000. The Milo stall RM 600. Dunno bout the rest. But the stall that i thought was the most successful was the one that i was initially slightly skeptical about. Timo's! Not that i didn't think he would make money, i just didn't think it would be SUCH A BIG HIT. Congrats Tim!

I was so exhausted after that i just skipped St John and volleyball altogether. Had KFC for lunch (CHEEZY WEDGES ROCK!) and slept like a sweating hunk of log. What happened later today, is to be continued......
